For this project, I collaborated closely with the brand team responsible for developing Arch Rival Wine Co., an experimental wine brand aiming to stand out in a competitive market. Their primary objective was to create a bold and dynamic website that would reflect the brand’s innovative spirit, while adhering to a modest budget. At the outset, there was some ambiguity regarding whether my team was providing consulting services or directly designing the site, which led both teams to independently create wireframes.
This situation, however, provided an unexpected opportunity to merge the wireframes and create a cohesive, functional website that aligned with the brand’s creative vision. Developing a site for an experimental wine brand presented unique challenges, such as balancing sophisticated design with accessibility and ensuring the site communicated the brand’s story in an engaging and memorable way. We worked to capture the brand’s adventurous and unconventional nature through interactive features, striking visuals, and an intuitive user experience that would appeal to both wine enthusiasts and new consumers alike.
I applied the brand team’s established standards, ensuring consistency in color schemes, typography, and tone, while also embracing the unique characteristics of the wine industry. I collaborated closely with the development team to bring this vision to life, focusing on a seamless user experience across all devices and platforms. Ultimately, the brand team was highly satisfied with the final outcome, and the site successfully positioned Arch Rival Wine Co. as a fresh and bold presence in the wine market.
